Orphan Beads & How I Define Them

I am just going to say it straight out:

I easily become board with creating the same style beads over and over again in sets.

Because of this, I have built up a collection of random single beads over the past 2 years since I've been working with glass. I love to dabble and play with colors and new ideas for bead designs. So usually what happens is I'll get this "brilliant idea" for a new color combo or design and just sit down and put it into works without actually knowing how it'll come out or planning to make more. :) Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work so well (we won't discuss those ones...) When I create a good one, I'll just have another lonely bead that I can attempt to sell in my Bargain Bead Bin at craft shows. Usually they end up going to children who absolutely love to pick out a bead or two for a necklace or bracelet which is actually a lot of fun to watch.

This time, I've decided to lump a set of the orphan beads together and see what happens when I post them online. So, without further ado, I introduce you to my first "set" of orphan beads:

Welcome!

Well, here it is. I've finally created my blog. Welcome to my thoughts on glass, lampworking and other things that I continue to learn and explore in this wonderful world of glass bead making! I hope you enjoy the things I will have to say here. I will attempt, with my best efforts, to make it entertaining, perhaps educational and worth your time :)
